busy times

I didn't realize how long it had been since I last posted anything. We have been pretty busy, Moncton last weekend, swimming lessons, baby club, visting, etc, etc...

Moncton was ok, we ended up coming home on Saturday night because the hotel we were staying at ended up being a party spot and Brayden just wasn't into partying. Don't blame him. Got a few things at ToysRUs, and Brayden enjoys his new toys.

Mike and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary this past Sunday on the 22nd of April, and next Monday, I will be celebrating my 26th birthday. Not sure about the celebrating part, now I'm only 4 years away from 30 eeek :P

I finally got Brayden to wave to me this week. He is keeping it a secret, he hasn't done it for anyone else except my sister Sasha yesterday. And he is also saying Mama when he cries. I will have him saying it normally soon I hope.

That's about it for now. Oh, Brayden is still entered in the baby stages photo contest, so keep on voting please! To get to his picture to to http://photocontest.babystages.ca/en/, and to quickly find his photo, the number is 131147.

Thanks to everyone who has been voting and enjoy the new pictures!

Splish Splash

Yesterday, Brayden started swimming lessons at the pool in Montague. He didn't really learn a whole lot, but he had a great time. We knew another baby there, Rowan. Rowan had a great time splashing and splashing. My sister Sandra got a few pics of Brayden in the water, but she hasn't emailed them to me yet. But there are a few pics of Brayden in his wetsuit when I was getting him ready to go.

This Saturday we are taking Brayden on his first road trip. We are going to Moncton for the night for the Car Show. Well honestly I am going for the shopping. I can't wait to get to Toys-R-Us. This weekend, Mike and I will also be celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary. Hard to believe that this first year has flown by so fast, but when I think back to everything we've done in the last year; baby, house renos; I can see how it did.

Well I think that's all to report for now, not too much new at all.

5 months already!

Today Brayden is 5 months old. Hard to believe how fast time is flying by. Soon we will be celebrating his first birthday and I'll really wonder where time went. In his first five months, Brayden has learned to roll from belly to back and back to belly, sit up on his own, chew on EVERYTHING, eating solids, has gotten two teeth, and so much more.

We went to my parent's house today for turkey dinner, my aunt Wanda and uncle Allan had just returned from the Dominican Republic on Friday, so this was their Easter dinner. It was DELICIOUS. Who doesn't love turkey dinner?

Brayden's third tooth is in the process of coming in so he is cranky today, but I guess that's what we will live with for 17 more teeth :P

Went for a stroll the other day with my friend Brenda and her baby Maysea, and Brenda got a good picture of Brayden in his stroller.

By the way, on the photo contest that Brayden is entered into, all the votes will be reset today, so Brayden has an even better chance than before of winning since he will start at zero with the rest. Please continue to vote for him, and for everyone that has been voting, thank you so much!

how could I forget

In my last few posts, I have neglected to mention that Brayden now has two teeth. His first bottom tooth came in on March 27th, and the second bottom tooth followed on March 31st. I took him to church on the 31st and we had to leave because he screamed so loud and so much.
But they are both in completely now and look so cute! I'm pretty sure he is getting another one coming today because he is CRANKY!
Oh well, they have to come sometime, and now is as good as ever I suppose.
I will post pictures of his teeth as soon as I can catch one.

another storm, is this really april??

Well today we are forecast to have another snow storm :(

This time last year I was planning my wedding and on my wedding day (april 22nd), it was 18 outside. What a turnaround.

Brayden and I laid pretty low this week. On Monday we went to day after Easter dinner at my parent's house, good time and good food.

We also had a visit with my friend Brenda and her baby Maysea on Wednesday and baby club on Thursday. So I guess we didn't really lay low :)

I got a couple pictures of Brayden and Maysea, and one of Brayden with Brenda's dog Gibson, who someday I am going to dognap. There is also a picture there of Brayden finally playing with his "peek and play" dome. We bought it for Christmas and it has been sitting in the corner since. But now that Brayden is sitting up for long periods of time, he can use it...yay!!!

Today, we will be waiting out this pending storm :(

Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter to everyone. Hope it was great. Here on PEI it was very stormy and blustery, and I was stuck in Charlottetown for Brayden's first Easter :(

I went to a bachelorette party for a good friend last night and got storm stayed in there. Luckily my sister Sasha lives close by and she was great to let us crash there.

On the other hand, Brayden had a good Easter at home with his dad and grandparents.

We also went to the Easter party on Thursday at Families First. It was cute, they made all of the babies a set of bunny ears and they all got their picture taken with the Easter Bunny.

Brayden made out like a bandit for his first Easter, new pjs, bunny, bucket and shovel, new coat and pants, and sandals. That all from his MacKay grandparents, my parents have gotten him a pool, which we will get tomorrow when we go celebrate "day after Easter" with them.

Hope everyone had a great weekend, and enjoy the pictures.

And by the way for those wondering, in one of the pictures Brayden is playing with a doll. At baby club, Addison stole the doll from Ava, and Brayden stole it from Addison.

It was cute. But he has to learn to share LOL

exciting weekend

Brayden had a pretty exciting weekend that just past. On Saturday we went to the APM centre in Cornwall for Brayden to watch his dad play hockey for the first time. And talk about eyes as big as saucers! Brayden had a great time. Then on Sunday, we went to Dundas for Ava's birthday party. Brayden also had a great time here, mostly with flirting and watching kids run by. I love birthday parties for 2 year olds, they get so excited over the smallest things. Ava was opening her presents and a big one was a patio set for her, complete with table, two chairs and an umbrella. When the wrapping paper came off, she clapped her hands and said, " Look Mom, A BOX!!!" Too cute. Ah to be excited by the small things in life again.
